The Loop Generator
Tell it how far and it draws you a loop from your door — or draw your own, point by point, snapped to real streets. Nobody sees your routes but you — and your shadow, who was coming anyway.
How it works
Generate: give it a start point and a distance. It asks the road network for a loop of roughly that length on runnable streets and paths, starting and ending at your door. Every reroll is a different loop. The distance lands close to what you asked for — close enough that rounding up to "basically four miles" is between you and no one.
Draw your own: click the map to drop points and the route snaps to actual streets between them, with the distance counting up as you go. Drag any point to reshape it, undo the last one, or hit "Back to start" to close the loop. It's the route builder certain other platforms charge a subscription for, minus the subscription and the platform.
Routes are generated on real pedestrian ways from OpenStreetMap. Your kept loops live in your browser's local storage, same as The Quiet Log — we run no accounts and keep no map of where you run. Check the loop with your own eyes before trusting it at 6am: the map knows the streets, but you know the neighborhood.
